All Schools have procedures and policies in place to aid the actions of all individuals involved in the school community. They provide common understanding and agreement on how things should be done and offers clear guidelines on what should be done in a certain set of circumstances or with regard to a particular issue. Policies should be “living documents” that are reviewed as necessary to ensure they meet the needs of all those working in the school.

- Provide consistency among staff, parents and children.
- Promote harmony within the school community.
